From July 2 to 4, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will transform into a hub for street arts with the XXII edition of 'Per Amor a l'Hart,' emphasizing women's perspectives in performance.
Over the course of three days, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat will come alive with creativity as it hosts the XXII edition of the street arts festival ‘Per Amor a l’Hart’. Scheduled from July 2 to July 4, this year’s festival focuses on showcasing female talent across various artistic disciplines, including contemporary dance, live music, and modern circus performances.
The festival aims to create an inclusive space for both local residents and visiting professionals. It emphasizes tolerance and intergenerational dialogue among artists and audiences alike. The event will take place in several key locations throughout the city, such as Jardines de Can Sumarro, Plaza Lluís Companys, Jover, and Rambla Marina, while also introducing new venues like the Jardines Pablo Picasso.
This year’s lineup features a mix of Catalan and international companies. The opening night will be highlighted by French troupe Cía. I. Si’s performance of ‘Le Dernier Concert’, set to begin at 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Polideportivo esplanade. Following this, Navarra-based Estefanía de Paz will present a poignant small-format show that intertwines elements of poetry and circus with themes of war.
The second day promises an exciting array of performances at Germinarts, featuring acts from Ratafria Circ, Maria Arronis, and Gregorio Torchia. As night falls, musical acts like Barrio Adentro and Balkumbia will take center stage in an intimate setting. Additionally, Galician group Colectivo Glovo is set to showcase their work titled ‘Alleo.’
The final day culminates with a diverse range of performances including Trasla2’s new show ‘Securitas Service‘, which blends physical theater with humor and political satire. Another highlight is ‘Manifesto‘ by Àngel Duran, where five performers invoke the spirit of subcultures to transform public spaces. Finally, ‘Attractio‘, created by duo Paula Sánchez & Matilde Cassini after winning Barcelona’s Estrena’t Dansa award, promises to captivate audiences.
This festival not only enriches L’Hospitalet’s cultural landscape but also serves as a platform for emerging female artists in the performing arts sector. Attendees can expect an engaging experience filled with innovative performances that challenge traditional narratives.
