The current reliance on the Hospital de Viladecans, which serves not only Castelldefels but also other municipalities in Baix Llobregat, has become increasingly untenable. Reyes remarked, “It is unacceptable that our city depends solely on a hospital already stretched thin by demand from surrounding areas.” He called on the Generalitat de Catalunya to take proactive steps rather than merely managing existing pressures.
