The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating whether an altercation involving gunfire in Polinyà is related to two men who were shot and treated in La Mina. One of them was taken to Hospital del Mar.
The Mossos d'Esquadra are looking into the possible connection between a shooting incident that occurred on Friday night in Polinyà and two men who arrived later at the CAP of La Mina, in Sant Adrià de Besòs, about 18 kilometres away.
The alert regarding a firearm incident in the public street of Polinyà was received by the officers at 23:10 hours. So far, there have been no arrests, and the Mossos are continuing their investigations to clarify the causes of the event.
The two injured individuals arrived at the La Mina health centre later, with injuries consistent with gunshots. Police sources indicate that they were not willing to cooperate with investigators. According to one source, one of the victims was transferred to Hospital del Mar due to the severity of his injuries.
A car with around ten bullet impacts was found in Sant Adrià, which the injured are believed to have used to travel from Polinyà. The vehicle has holes in the roof, side doors, and windows, and one of the bullets was lodged in the glove compartment.
Officers are trying to determine if that car was previously in Polinyà. For residents of both municipalities, the investigation will reveal whether the two incidents are part of the same altercation, something that has yet to be confirmed.
