Mayor Jaume Collboni inaugurated the Permanent Office and the Press Centre at the Palau Sant Jordi yesterday, a fundamental step to facilitate media coverage of the Grand Départ taking place in July. The inauguration was attended by the Councillor for Sports, David Escudé, and Christian Prudhomme, the general director of the Tour de France. This new centre is specifically designed to cater to the media covering the initial stages of the famous cycling race.
“We are committed to providing all the necessary facilities to the journalists coming to Barcelona,” Collboni stated during his speech.
From the day of the inauguration, the accreditation centre will officially open, allowing journalists to manage their permissions to cover the event. This opening is crucial as it will enable efficient coordination of accreditation distribution to all interested media.
