Our commitment to accuracy

At Barcelona Press, we believe that the credibility of a news outlet is built, in part, by acknowledging mistakes and correcting them with the same transparency applied to any piece of reporting.

What do we consider a factual error?

A factual error is any incorrect information published in our articles: wrong figures, misspelled names, incorrect dates, misattributed statements, or any claim that does not correspond to verifiable reality.

How to report an error

If you spot an error in any of our content, please contact our editorial team at redaccion@barcelonapress.com. We ask that you include the URL of the affected article, a description of the error you found, and, if available, the source that contradicts it.

We are committed to reviewing every report received and responding within 48 business hours.

How we apply corrections

Corrections are applied directly to the original article, with a clearly visible note added at the end indicating the date of the change and a plain-language description of the error and its correction. When a correction affects relevant data, we do not simply delete the original text — we strike it through and add the corrected version immediately after, ensuring full traceability of the change.

Under no circumstances do we delete entire articles to conceal errors. If a piece of information proves to be entirely inaccurate, a formal retraction is published.

Style and copy corrections

Minor corrections to style, spelling, or grammar that do not affect the informational content are applied directly without a correction notice.
