The former metalworking factory Oliva Artés, located in the Poblenou neighbourhood, will transform this summer into the nerve centre of the World Capital of Architecture 2026. From 3 to 19 July, visitors will have free access to the central exhibition of the UIA World Architecture Congress, titled Architectures for a Transitioning Planet, which will take place in the Turbine Hall of Les Tres Xemeneies. This event will not only attract architects and industry professionals but will also open its doors to the general public, offering a unique opportunity to explore architectural innovations and reflect on current urban challenges.
The district of Sant Martí, known for its rich industrial history and its evolution towards a technological future, has been chosen as the protagonist due to its ability to merge past and present.
