An initiative that unites the community
The merchant associations of Tremp, Isona, and La Pobla de Segur have taken a significant step towards revitalising trade in Pallars Jussà with the launch of the campaign ‘Buy Local, Regional Life’. This initiative aims not only to encourage purchases in local businesses but also to strengthen the social and economic fabric of the region.
The campaign includes an attractive raffle aimed at citizens who make purchases at participating establishments. With over 150 shops involved, this action promises not only appealing prizes but also seeks to create a sense of belonging and loyalty between consumers and their local stores.
During the official presentation, representatives from the three associations emphasised the importance of local trade as a fundamental pillar for keeping the economy active in the municipalities. “Every purchase made in our shops has a direct impact on the vitality of our towns,” they stated. Such initiatives are essential to remind the population that their support for local commerce is crucial for the sustainable development of the area.
‘Buy Local, Regional Life’ is part of a broader series of actions promoted by the commercial associations of Pallars Jussà. Additionally, it has the technical support of the FemPallars programme, developed by the Tremp City Council within the framework of the Treball a Comarques programme. This collaboration is key to ensuring that the strategies implemented are effective and sustainable in the long term.
The organisers are calling on all residents of Pallars Jussà to join this campaign. It is not just about shopping; it is about building a stronger and more cohesive community where every transaction contributes to the overall well-being. By choosing to shop locally, each citizen can be an active part of the economic and social strengthening of their region.
