The Dau Barcelona festival celebrates its fifteenth edition at Fabra i Coats and expects to welcome around 35,000 visitors over four days and two nights of gaming. Entry is free, and the event is designed for all audiences.

The Dau Barcelona festival returns to Fabra i Coats with its fifteenth edition. The organisers estimate around 35,000 visitors, a figure similar to that of the previous edition, and access is free.

For four days and two nights, there will be classic games and new releases from the sector. There will be demonstrations, presentations of market novelties, and participatory activities, some aimed at families and others at expert players and professionals.

The venue will feature eleven thematic spaces, specialist shops, and dining areas. A new stage for live shows and participatory proposals will also be introduced.

Among the returning offerings are Gran Dau, Daus de Rol, Dauet, Dau Expert, Dau Tradicional, Dau Beta, Experiències Dau, and Dau Històric. The Dau Tranquil will once again be a calm space for highly sensitive individuals, and the Ludoteca Expert will gather the most complex games.

The festival also includes a professional congress over two days. On Thursday, 12 November, a study on board games will be presented, featuring data and trends from the sector.

According to the organisers, around one thousand children and nearly ninety teachers from thirty educational centres in the city will participate in the "Escoles al Dau" section, where board games are used as a learning tool.

On Friday, 13 November, the Dau Awards will be presented, hosted this year by the SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre. Among the awards are those for best author, best new author, best artist, best educational outreach, and a lifetime achievement award dedicated to gaming.

The activity is not limited to Fabra i Coats. In the weeks leading up to the event, ten recreational activities were scheduled in nine locations across the city’s neighbourhoods, attracting nearly 1,500 participants.
