Rodalies de Catalunya's R1 trains are experiencing delays due to a signalling failure at the Glorias-Clot junction in Barcelona. Adif is working on a solution, although it has not specified how many trains are affected.

The trains on the R1 line of the Rodalies de Catalunya network have been delayed since the morning due to an incident at the signalling of the Glorias-Clot junction in Barcelona. The information, reported by El Confidencial, comes from a notice by Adif, the infrastructure manager.

According to the manager, teams are working on repairs to restore normality as soon as possible. The notice does not specify the number of affected trains or how long the disruption will last, so R1 users should expect variable delays.

“As soon as possible”: this is how Adif describes the timeline for the repair of the incident.

Signalling failures are not uncommon on the Rodalies network. In October, the R2 Sud took several hours to return to its normal frequency after a train breakdown between Cunit and Vilanova. Outside Catalonia, the C1 Cercanías in Cantabria also suffered delays due to a similar failure in Pesquera, according to Adif.

For R1 travellers needing to travel in the coming hours, it is recommended to check the Adif network status before leaving, where active incidents and the arrival and departure times for each station are listed. Those with tickets should also review their operator's conditions before heading to the station.
