TV3 has launched a three-part docuseries about the broadcaster Justo Molinero, featuring testimonies from former president of the Generalitat Artur Mas. The series reviews over 40 years in front of the microphones.

The channel TV3 premiered this week a docuseries of three chapters dedicated to Justo Molinero, the broadcaster who has been in front of the microphones for over 40 years. According to Mundo Deportivo, the production combines testimonies from people who have followed his career with materials from his professional journey.

The starting point of the story is 1982, when the broadcasts of Radio TeleTaxi began in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona), a station that did not yet have a license. Before that, Molinero had worked for eleven years as a taxi driver in Barcelona, a period that the first chapter recovers in the first person.

The series also goes back to his childhood in Villanueva de Córdoba, to the decision to leave in search of a better life, and to his early years in Catalunya. It is a journey that connects the biography of the broadcaster with that of many other workers who arrived from other parts of Spain.

Among the testimonies is that of former president of the Generalitat Artur Mas, who explains the relationship between his former party, Convergència i Unió, and Radio TeleTaxi, a station with significant influence among its listeners.

Mas also talks about Catalunya in the 1960s, with factories in full operation and, above all, a booming textile industry. Regarding that massive influx of population, he states:

"There were many opportunities"

The former president acknowledges that the immigration of those years was largely Spanish, but points out that there were frictions in coexistence:

"But to some extent, there was a certain cultural clash"

For the Barcelona audience, the docuseries recovers a part of the history of local radio that many listeners remember as linked to taxis and street calls. The three chapters of the series complete the narrative of a career that began in the taxi and ended in radio.
