The 12-year-old boy with autism went missing on Saturday night in Granollers. The Mossos d'Esquadra are seeking public assistance and are looking into whether he was seen with a man in Barcelona.

The search for Rami, the 12-year-old boy with autism missing from Granollers, is now focused on a possible sighting in Barcelona. The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating whether the boy was seen in the company of a man in the Catalan capital, according to police sources.

The trail of the boy was lost on the night of Saturday to Sunday in this town in the Vallès Oriental. The family believes that the boy left home on his own while everyone was asleep.

“We believe he got out of bed at night and left”

This is explained by Soraya, Rami's cousin, who has been speaking to the media while the family awaits news. The anguish grows as the hours pass: this Monday night marks 48 hours since his disappearance, a timeframe that the boy has never reached in previous episodes.

“It’s already too much,” insist family members, who have the support of the Adonay platform, dedicated to assisting in cases of disappearance. Until now, when Rami had gone missing, he had never been unaccounted for for more than 24 hours.

The Mossos d'Esquadra are maintaining an active search operation and have requested the public's cooperation. Anyone who may have information about the boy's whereabouts can contact 112 or the nearest police station.

The investigation is following two lines: the search on the ground in Granollers and its surroundings, and the verification of the sighting in Barcelona. The family asks that any detail, no matter how small it may seem, be communicated to the authorities.
