The Mossos d'Esquadra have identified and filed an administrative complaint against the person who attempted to assault Eduardo Camavinga at the Spotify Camp Nou. The financial penalty could reach €60,000.

A fan of FC Barcelona has been identified by the Mossos d'Esquadra after trying to assault Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga during the celebration of Kylian Mbappé's second goal, according to LaLiga. The incident occurred at the Spotify Camp Nou during the match that the blue-and-red team lost 1-2 last Sunday.

According to the referee's report by Juan Martínez Munuera, in the 87th minute, a water bottle and a can of soda were thrown onto the pitch from the Gol Nord area. Neither object hit any players, but the referee activated the established protocol and announced over the loudspeaker before resuming play.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation has sanctioned the club for a minor disruption of the match, based on Article 117 of its disciplinary code. The resolution does not specify the amount, although that article provides for fines of up to €602. The sanction comes just days after another fine of €602 was imposed on the club regarding the Julián Álvarez case.

Separately, a supposed contact between a flagpole and Camavinga is also under review. The complaint against the fan has been filed under the Sports Law. The penalty could reach €60,000 if deemed serious, which is the classification expected since there was no damage.

The security services of FC Barcelona have actively collaborated with the Mossos d'Esquadra in identifying the fan, who is part of one of the supporter groups of the Grada 1957.

In addition to the fine, the identified individual could receive a ban from accessing sports venues for between six months and two years if the infraction is considered serious. If classified as very serious, the period could extend from two to five years. The club, for its part, will refer the case to its Disciplinary Commission.
