Matías Treppo, Mayor of Perito Moreno, signed agreements in Barcelona to digitalise municipal procedures during the Smart City Expo World Congress.

The Mayor of Perito Moreno, Matías Treppo, participated in Barcelona in the Smart City Expo World Congress with a Latin American delegation. There, he signed agreements to modernise and digitalise administrative procedures in his municipality, as he explained himself.

The visit included a meeting with the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, at the Palacio Albéniz. According to the Mayor, the aim was to strengthen the ties between the two cities, which are sister cities, and to open options for collaboration in tourism, economy, and culture.

Treppo presented at the congress what his administration has accomplished so far and the projects he has planned. Since the beginning of his term, the municipality has been working on the digitalisation of its services to respond more quickly to the demands of the residents.

“Perito Moreno is proud to be invited to meetings of this magnitude, which consolidate a management model and a way of governing.”

Among the agreements signed, the Mayor mentioned the hiring of a startup that uses artificial intelligence to oversee tenders and analyse specifications. As he explained, the tool will serve to evaluate the proposals from companies competing for municipal works more swiftly.

Treppo also spoke about contacts and a memorandum of collaboration with Google. Additionally, the delegation participated in an event organised at the Argentine Consulate in Barcelona and showcased their projects at the fair's stands.
