Young man beaten and stabbed at Hotel Casa Fuster in Barcelona

A 23-year-old man has been seriously injured after being attacked by three men inside the Hotel Casa Fuster, on Passeig de Gràcia. The attackers stabbed him twice in the neck and fled; his life is not in danger.

The Investigation Unit of the Mossos d'Esquadra police station in the Gràcia district has taken over the investigation into the assault that occurred this Friday at the Hotel Casa Fuster, a five-star establishment located at number 132 on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona. Officers are searching for the three men who participated in the attack and fled immediately afterwards.

The incident occurred shortly after half past five in the afternoon, when the victim, a 23-year-old man of Eastern European origin who was permanently residing at the hotel, was visited by three individuals in the premises. The meeting escalated into a heated argument that turned into a physical assault.

During the confrontation, the three visitors beat the young man, and one of them inflicted two stab wounds to the neck area. The attackers then left the scene, leaving the victim badly injured inside the establishment.

It was eyewitnesses who alerted emergency services. Emergency teams from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM), three patrols from the Mossos d'Esquadra, and a unit from the Guardia Urbana de Barcelona arrived at the hotel. Paramedics treated the young man on-site before urgently evacuating him to a hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition. Investigation sources confirm that his life is not in danger.

The Mossos are now focusing their efforts on identifying and locating the three individuals involved. The hotel’s security camera footage, which is already being analysed, will be crucial for this. The management of the Hotel Casa Fuster has declined to comment on the incident.

The attack took place in the heart of Passeig de Gràcia, one of the areas with the highest police presence and tourist traffic in the city, in broad daylight. The police operation remains active as the investigation progresses.
