The regional fire service (Bombers de la Generalitat) confirmed that their teams were actively engaged throughout the storm’s duration, addressing each incident as it arose. The rapid response was crucial given the volume of emergencies reported during this short time frame.
By late evening on August 25, Civil Protection concluded its warnings regarding rainfall accumulation exceeding 60 liters per square meter within three hours across regions like Baix Camp and Tarragonès. The emergency number (112) had received a total of 373 calls, leading to the generation of 259 incident reports, predominantly from Tarragonès.
The following day brought a sense of calm as forecasts indicated no further storm warnings for Catalonia. Residents began assessing damages while emergency services prepared for potential follow-up actions based on their findings from the previous day’s events.
