The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 21-year-old who managed one of the groups used to organise the riots on October 24 in Barcelona. This is the fourth arrest in Catalonia since Thursday.

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested on Saturday, at noon, a 21-year-old man in Cabrera d'Anoia, in the province of Barcelona. According to information provided by Crónica Global, the arrested individual allegedly participated in coordinating the vandalism on October 24 in Barcelona.

The detainee was the administrator of one of the communication groups used to promote and organise the actions. According to investigations, the call to action was disseminated through a poster published on TikTok, featuring a QR code that led directly to a WhatsApp channel.

Investigations suggest that he played an active role in energising that group and was in Barcelona during the incidents. The investigation remains open, according to sources from the inquiry.

The investigation continues to be open and new arrests are not ruled out.

This is the fourth arrest made in Catalonia since Thursday. The first took place in the province of Lleida, where a minor was one of the ringleaders of the disturbances planned for this Saturday in the city of Lleida.

The other three arrests, all in the province of Barcelona, are related to the disturbances that occurred a week ago in the Catalan capital. With this arrest, the number of detainees linked to Blocus across the rest of Spain rises to ten recorded in other parts of the country.
