A fight between several individuals ended with multiple shots fired at the Jardines del Mediterráneo, in the Marina de Port. No injuries were reported, and the Mossos d'Esquadra are searching for the shooter.
The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating the shots fired on Sunday, November 8 at the Jardines del Mediterráneo, in the Marina de Port neighbourhood, following a fight between several people. According to police sources, the incident occurred around 9:00 AM and left no injuries.
Several witnesses alerted the police, who dispatched patrols and public order vans to the scene. By the time they arrived, the alleged shooter had already fled.
According to the same sources, witnesses described to the officers that one of those involved fired several times with a gun. Some locals estimate that up to five shots were heard. It is still unclear whether the weapon was real or a blank-firing gun.
At the scene, several individuals were identified for their possible connection to the events. During the operation, a man resisted the officers and attempted to confront them, and was arrested for an alleged offence against authority and another of disobedience.
The investigation remains open to clarify what happened and to locate the person who fired the shots, who has not yet been apprehended. This incident adds to another shooting with a fatality, recorded five months ago on Minería Street, also in the Zona Franca.
