The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating several gunshots recorded in the Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood. No injuries have been reported and the officers have found a shell casing on the ground.
The Mossos d’Esquadra opened an investigation after several gunshots were heard in the Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood, in the Sant Martí district. The events occurred around 20:30 on Friday, October 16.
So far, the police have not located the individuals who may have been involved in the incident. According to the information provided by the Mossos, no injuries have been reported.
The officers who arrived at the scene found a shell casing on the ground, an element that could be key to clarifying what happened. Despite these initial actions, those involved remain unidentified.
This incident adds to other gun-related events recorded in Catalonia within the same 24 hours, including a fatal shooting inside a tattoo studio in Badalona.
In Barcelona, similar incidents had already occurred last year and in recent months. According to the Mossos, one of them took place in the Bon Pastor neighbourhood in mid-August. Additionally, there were other incidents in Nou Barris, Verdum, and the Raval during that same month, with different circumstances and no injuries in all cases.
The residents of Besòs i el Maresme will need to follow the progress of the investigation, which will seek to determine what happened, who fired the shots, and if there is a connection to other recent events. For now, no arrests or victims have been confirmed.
