The Mossos are searching for two men who committed three violent robberies in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and Sant Cugat del Vallès on the night from Saturday to Sunday. They used a stolen motorbike and a firearm, apparently a replica.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have activated the search for two men accused of committing several violent and intimidating robberies during the night of Saturday, October 10 to Sunday. The assaults took place in the Barcelona district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and in Sant Cugat del Vallès, according to sources from the police investigation.
The suspects were riding a motorbike reported as stolen and threatened their victims with a firearm that, according to initial reports, was a replica. This detail is still under investigation. The Catalan police attribute three counts of robbery with violence and intimidation to them, one of which is in an attempted degree.
The first attempt was recorded around ten o'clock at night on Les Escoles Pies street in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi. The thieves approached a pedestrian and demanded their belongings under threat, but they did not manage to take anything and fled down the street.
In the early hours, around one o'clock, the two men were detected in Sant Cugat del Vallès, where they repeated the same modus operandi. This time they seized four mobile phones and several items of clothing before fleeing.
Hours later, around four in the morning, they returned to the Barcelona area. On Doctor Carulla street, very close to the site of the first attempt, they managed to snatch a mobile phone from another person after threatening them with the gun. Investigators are trying to determine why they returned to the same area.
The Mossos have identified the motorbike used in the assaults, which is listed as stolen. This fact may hinder the work of the agents from the Unitat d'Investigació (UI) of the Sarrià police station, as the use of stolen vehicles is a common practice to obstruct the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.
The investigation remains open and the two suspects are still wanted. The Mossos are asking anyone who has been a witness or victim of similar incidents in the area to contact the police to assist in their location.
