Emergency teams have recovered in the sea the body of a woman swept away by the Cabrera de Mar stream. DANA Adam maintains a yellow alert in Catalonia for this Monday.

According to orain.eus, emergency teams located on Sunday in the sea the lifeless body of the woman who was swept away the previous day by the Cabrera de Mar stream, in the province of Barcelona. The discovery occurred about six kilometres from the point where she disappeared.

This incident is part of DANA Adam, which will maintain instability in the peninsula and the Balearic Islands this Monday. The rains, which in Alicante and Valencia come with a red alert, will weaken in those areas as they move towards Catalonia, where the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) expects them to be heavy or very heavy and persistent in the afternoon.

The community is under yellow alert for rains and storms, as are Castilla-La Mancha, Ceuta, and Melilla. The agency warns that accumulations of between 300 and 400 litres per square metre could occur locally, without ruling out higher values in the most affected areas.

“Given the great uncertainty in the evolution of atmospheric structures, it is not possible to determine precisely the affected areas.”

For those living near torrents, riverbeds, or streams along the Barcelona coast, the recommendation is to avoid crossing them or approaching their banks while the storm lasts. Forecasts may change throughout the day, so it is advisable to follow the updated warnings from Aemet.
