The International Boat Show of Barcelona closed its 63rd edition this Sunday with 226 boats of all lengths, 170 exhibitors, and more than 300 brands. The organisation highlights the expansion of offerings towards new sectors and experiential areas as one of the features of this edition.
The event was held at Port Vell in Barcelona. It is organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), which provided a summary in a statement. According to this note, the focus on quality has guided the show, with the return of international brands.
The presence of Spanish shipyards was also highlighted, which, according to the organisation, attracted thousands of visitors interested in purchasing boats and learning about the latest innovations in the sector. Of the total 20,000 visitors, 35% came from outside Catalonia, mainly from Madrid, Balearic Islands, Valencian Community, Andalusia, and Galicia. 15% were international visitors, especially from France, Italy, Germany, United States, and United Kingdom.
For the president of the show, Luis Conde, the results confirm the goal of strengthening business, international projection, and the quality of the event:
“We have made a qualitative leap in every sense. The level of brands, models, innovations, and audience places the Barcelona event among the greats in Europe.”
For those living in Barcelona, the show represents a week of increased traffic in Port Vell and the marina area during its celebration.
