The president of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, will speak this Monday in Les Corts to present a balance of his government actions and announce new fiscal and social measures. He will also call on the central government for regional funding and water investments.

The president of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, will appear this Monday in the General Policy Debate in Les Corts with a speech focused on tax cuts, the strengthening of social policies, the reconstruction following the Dana of October 2024, and the improvement of family economy. The information, reported by castellonplaza.com, details that the head of the Consell will review the actions of his government over the past year and outline new lines of action.

In the fiscal area, Pérez Llorca will detail measures to expand tax reductions for working middle classes, as well as initiatives to promote work-life balance and ease the economic burden on households. According to the Generalitat's statement, the goal is to "continue advancing towards a fairer, more dynamic, and balanced Comunitat Valenciana."

The intervention will also address areas such as healthcare, education, social services, and housing, with concrete proposals to improve citizen care and expand protection for the most vulnerable groups.

In economic matters, the president will emphasise social dialogue, job creation, reducing bureaucracy, attracting investments, and the reindustrialisation of the territory. These are lines that, according to sources from the Consell, aim to stimulate productive activity and generate opportunities throughout the Valencian territory.

Regarding the reconstruction of municipalities affected by the Dana, Pérez Llorca will call on all public administrations to complete pending actions. The Generalitat insists on the need to coordinate efforts to finish the works and restore normalcy in the damaged areas.

The head of the Consell will demand from the Government of Spain fair regional funding, strategic investments, and sufficient water supply for the entire Valencian territory. These are demands that the Generalitat has been reiterating in recent months.

Other lines he will present include improving emergency management, territorial balance policies, transport and water infrastructures, coastal protection, and support for the rural world. According to the Generalitat, the president will also focus on restoring normalcy in public debate and the stability of institutions against confrontation and polarization, with proposals aimed at solving the real problems of citizens.

The General Policy Debate will start this Monday in Les Corts and will last for several days. The session can be followed live through the official channels of the regional parliament.
