According to Fran Arnau, CEO of Flock Drone Art Studio, the performance will feature themes related to space and Earth while promoting tourism values inherent to Portugal.
Artistic vision intertwined with music
The show will not only dazzle audiences with visual effects but will also incorporate music that enhances the narrative of the performance. Arnau emphasized that they aim to blend modernity with tradition, similar to their acclaimed tribute to Gaudí at the Sagrada Família. A highlight of this performance will be a motivational phrase crafted by drones—marked as ‘the highlight of the show’—which promises to resonate deeply with viewers.
Logistical feats enable cross-border performances
The logistical planning behind this event has been meticulous. Thanks to a special ‘cross border’ permit, flying drones across borders has become seamless within Europe. The drones were transported from Girona in two trucks to Montesinos beach near Oporto. In preparation for this grand event, Flock conducted final rehearsals involving between 200 and 300 drones, ensuring everything runs smoothly on show night.
