The headquarters of the Col·legi de Periodistes de Catalunya in Barcelona has hosted the exhibition ‘Rocafonda, Territorio Lamine’ since last Wednesday, paying tribute to the Mataró neighbourhood where footballer Lamine Yamal grew up. This exhibition, which will be open to the public until 10 July 2026, presents around thirty photographs that capture the essence and daily life of the neighbourhood, a place that has gained international relevance thanks to its famous resident.
A glimpse of Rocafonda
Rocafonda is a neighbourhood with a unique identity and a diverse community, but often overlooked by the media. Its postal code, 304, has become a global symbol due to Yamal's sporting feats. Every time he scores a goal and crosses his fingers, the player remembers his roots and pays homage to his home.
