A recognition of innovation in the agricultural sector
The Link Up Fest, held on March 26, 2026, in Lleida, witnessed a significant advancement in modern agriculture. This event, which brings together entrepreneurs and investors, awarded Agrin’pulse, a start-up from Alcarràs, for its innovative development of an electric autonomous tractor.
Miquel Guasch, a representative of Agrin’pulse, highlighted during the ceremony that his company aims to address two critical issues in the sector: labour shortages and the high costs associated with agricultural machinery. “Our goal is to facilitate fieldwork through advanced technology,” Guasch stated.
The autonomous tractor designed by Agrin’pulse allows farmers to use their traditional implements, such as mowers and balers, connecting them to a platform that performs tasks automatically. This innovation not only promises to increase efficiency but also to reduce operational costs for producers.
Under the leadership of Jordi Bernat, CEO of UP2YOU, the Link Up Fest has grown significantly since its first edition. This year, it featured over 50 speakers and attracted more than 200 companies along with 55 accredited investors. The goal is clear: to position the Ebro Valley–Lleida–Huesca–Pyrenees as a relevant hub in national entrepreneurship and innovation circuits.
Throughout the event, Bernat emphasized the importance of creating connections among different actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. “For the third consecutive year, we are seeing significant growth that contributes to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in our region,” he commented after the festival concluded.
The Link Up Fest not only rewards innovative ideas like the one presented by Agrin’pulse; it also seeks to address structural challenges such as the lack of connection between entrepreneurs and investors and the brain drain to more developed regions.
As events like the Link Up Fest continue to promote local initiatives and encourage investments, more companies are expected to emerge to tackle the current challenges in the agricultural sector. The combination of technology and tradition could be key to revitalising this essential industry in Spain.
