Juanfran Pérez Llorca calls his first year at the head of the Consell frantic and assures that the balance is positive. He said this in London, where he is attending the World Travel Market.
The president of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, reviews his first year at the helm of the Valencian Executive. According to Valencia Plaza, the leader summarised this in statements to the media in London, where he is participating this Wednesday in the World Travel Market.
Llorca took over the Presidency after the resignation of Carlos Mazón, which occurred a year and four days after the dana of October 29, 2024. That storm caused 234 fatalities in the province of Valencia, and the new president was faced with the task of reconstruction.
The leader acknowledges that the year has not been easy. He mentions the wildfires and the Adam dana as very harsh meteorological phenomena, although he emphasises that investments have also arrived.
“I believe it has been a frantic year and I think the balance is positive”
Among his achievements, Llorca highlights the approval of a budget that, in his words, allows for tax cuts for all families in the Comunitat Valenciana and for businesses, especially family-run ones. He also mentions the Education Plan and the Health Plan, which he defines as very important.
In terms of infrastructure, he mentions the CV-95 in the province of Alicante, and the road that will connect L'Olleria with Gandia. For readers in the province of Catalonia, these are decisions from a neighbouring regional government that do not directly affect them but will shape the political direction of the Comunitat in the coming months.
Llorca has indicated that he will announce more projects in the coming days.
