The bar Manel & Naiara, in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, has won the first prize of **€2,000** in the IV Estrella Damm Pouring Competition. The final took place at the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona.
According to La Razón, Estrella Damm has announced the winner of its IV Pouring Competition, held during the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona 2026, which is taking place this week in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The first prize of €2,000 has gone to the bar Manel & Naiara, from Sant Feliu de Llobregat, run by restaurateur Manel López.
The second prize of €1,000 went to Xavier Jiménez, from Xavi's Frankfurt in Terrassa. The third prize was awarded to José Roldán, from the bar Un Punt Nou in Sant Joan de Vilatorrada, and the fourth to Eric González, from Hotel Celimar. The latter two each receive €250.
The final, presented by Quim Masferrer, brought together 16 finalists. A professional jury selected them from over 470 Catalan establishments that submitted their applications with a video showcasing their technique. Additionally, the public recognised Restaurant Cal Pajares from Gironella, run by Juan Pajares.
The pouring starts with a clean, rinsed glass. The tap must be fully opened, allowing the first pressure to pass, and the glass should be filled at a 45-degree angle. When the beer reaches three-quarters, the tap is closed, reopened, and the foam is allowed to fall gently.
The jury evaluates the opening of the tap, the angle of the glass, and pressure control. They also consider the bubbles, the rinsing of the glass, and the final presentation. Among those evaluating the candidates were the master brewer of Damm Karen Peiró, the commercial manager for Horeca in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Aragon, and Andorra, Jordi Remacha, and the Quality Director, Jesús Salvador. The panel also included food journalist Rosa Rodon, director of Mengem! at the newspaper Ara, and content creator Andrea Gandrom.
