Sol Daurella, with 3.5 billion euros, is the highest-ranked Catalan in the new Forbes Spain list of the 100 richest Spaniards. Catalonia contributes 26 fortunes to the ranking.

Catalonia has 26 fortunes among the 100 richest Spaniards in the new Forbes Spain list, with a combined wealth of 33.04 billion euros. This is reported by La Ciutat, which has reviewed the ranking with the Catalan names that appear on it.

The top Catalan position once again belongs to Sol Daurella Comadrán, president of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Cobega. She ranks eleventh nationally with 3.5 billion, 600 million more than the previous year, placing her on the brink of the top 10.

Catalonia is the second region with the most presence in the ranking, only behind Madrid, which has 33 names. The Catalan fortunes are spread across food, beverages, insurance, fashion, perfumery, health, pharmaceuticals, distribution, and renewable energy.

The Daurella family has five members in the list. Carmen Daurella Aguilera is in 23rd place with 1.9 billion, Alfonso Líbano Daurella appears in 67th with 850 million, Pilar Líbano Daurella in 88th with 640 million, and Mercedes Daurella Aguilera in 93rd with 600 million. A significant portion of these fortunes depends on the value of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in the last financial year.

The largest leap belongs to José María Serra Farré, the main shareholder of Grupo Catalana Occidente. His fortune reaches 2.9 billion, 1.3 billion more than in 2025, moving from 25th to 17th position. His sisters Josefa and Assumpta Serra are listed together with an estimated fortune of 1.4 billion.

Several names stand out in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Manuel Puig Rocha, the main individual shareholder of Puig Brands, has 2.1 billion and ranks twentieth nationally. Jorge Gallardo Ballart, a shareholder of Almirall, is in 36th with 1.5 billion, and his brother Antonio Gallardo is in 38th with 1.4 billion.

The Rubiralta family, owners of Werfen, contributes four names. Jordi Rubiralta has around 1.2 billion, and José Luis, Marc, and Xavier Rubiralta each have around 1 billion. Meanwhile, Albert Esteve and his family, owners of the Esteve pharmaceutical group, total 850 million.

Outside of healthcare, there are also significant fortunes. José Llorens Torrá, a businessman from Lleida and owner of Llotor and EPSA Internacional, has 1.4 billion. The Carulla brothers, shareholders of Agrolimen, a group of brands such as Gallina Blanca, Affinity, or Pans & Company, accumulate around 700 million.

Joan Font Fabregó, president of Bon Preu, enters at 95th place with 570 million, after the group closed 2025 with over 2.6 billion euros in revenue. The same figure applies to Javier Suqué Mateu and his family, owners of Grup Peralada. Francisco José Elías Navarro, president of Audax Renovables and owner of La Sirena, has around 680 million.

The baroness Carmen Thyssen, linked to Catalonia through her residence and cultural projects, ranks 45th with 1.3 billion. Forbes sets the entry threshold for the ranking at 510 million, which excludes the Grifols family and the two branches of the Molins family.

In total, the 100 largest fortunes in the country sum up to 300.53 billion euros, a 16.1% increase from the previous year and a record figure. Amancio Ortega continues to lead the national ranking, far ahead of the rest.
