The municipality is gearing up for an extensive cultural, tourist, and leisure program designed for both residents and visitors. On that day, several museums will offer free admission, including notable sites such as the Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer, Espai Far, Torre Blava, and Museu del Ferrocarril. The city aims to maximize engagement during this fleeting event.
A special information point called Punt del Tour will be set up in Ribes Roges Park near the Tourist Office. Here, a giant screen will broadcast live coverage of the race. Additionally, official merchandise will be distributed throughout the day until supplies last. According to City Councilor Anna Ribera, those present along the waterfront can enjoy watching the Tour on the big screen while exploring local museums or participating in nautical activities.
The passage of cyclists through Vilanova will necessitate some mobility restrictions. The peloton is expected to enter via Racó de Santa Llúcia and travel along C-246 towards Roquetes. The promotional caravan is scheduled to arrive around 12:50 PM, with cyclists following approximately at 3:00 PM. Consequently, C-246 will be closed to traffic from 11:45 AM until 5:00 PM, impacting connections between various neighborhoods and the waterfront.
Mayor Ruiz has urged residents and visitors to plan accordingly. Accessing the waterfront by car will remain feasible for those arriving before 11:00 AM. To facilitate parking, municipal authorities are enhancing capacity at key locations such as Xarxaires and Adarró parking lots, alongside underground facilities and free park-and-ride options. Latecomers after 11:00 AM may need to park further away in upper city lots and walk down via designated pathways.
Buses serving urban and interurban routes will continue running but with adjusted routes due to road closures. Authorities recommend prioritizing walking or cycling where possible on this busy day.
A dedicated team of 114 volunteers, coordinated with local police and civil protection services, will assist in guiding citizens throughout Vilanova during this high-profile event. Special arrangements are also being made for individuals with reduced mobility, alongside emergency services coordinated with fire departments and medical emergency systems.
