In a brazen act of theft, two men targeted a vacation rental in Santa Cristina d’Aro on August 2, stealing valuable items from families enjoying their holiday. The incident occurred between 10 PM and 11 PM, as the thieves took advantage of the situation while children slept upstairs and adults relaxed in the garden.
The burglars made off with an array of possessions, including a high-end watch, laptops, mobile phones, calculators, jewelry, portable speakers, perfume, and cash totaling £100. This theft highlights ongoing concerns about safety for tourists in popular destinations.
The following day, local police discovered some of the stolen items abandoned in an open area nearby. Among these were personal documents and electronic devices that had been taken from the rental property.
Thanks to prompt action by law enforcement, both suspects were arrested on S’Agaró Avenue in Castell-Platja d’Aro shortly after the crime. During their apprehension, officers found a black wallet containing £105 and two portable speakers that had also been reported stolen.
A subsequent search of their residence revealed additional stolen goods linked to this burglary. Both individuals have extensive criminal records and are now facing judicial proceedings following their arrest.
